The most stunning cosmic event this week will be the full Moon on Thursday at 12 degrees Aries. Known as the Harvest Moon, this particular orb shines a bright light on the fading colors of the autumn. The harvest is due and the northern hemisphere prepares for the oncoming change of the season. This full Moon also lights up an array of interplanetary activity that finds a couple of conjunctions, and opposition and a few challenging alignments. Astrology is all about geometry and the inter-relatedness of planets towards each other. When planets stand in harmonious aspects to each other we tend to see positive outcomes, generally speaking.
When planets stand in difficult or challenging proximity to each other we tend to be tested by our resolve to correct that which is wrong or ill-served. The first alignment is an opposition of Jupiter to Uranus. Jupiter represents abundance and amplification whereas, Uranus stands for rebellion, and innovation. When positioned as opposites these two planets can deliver some startling events that may be completely unprecedented, but also those that may evolve over time and not necessarily on this week. Outer planets tend to leave their influence over long spans of time.
Elsewhere we see Venus and Mars together in Virgo. In this situation harmony and aggression may come together, but may manifest as passion rather than tension. Big difference. This influence may be illustrated in the conflict with North Korea, for example, and perhaps a peaceful, responsible stalemate may be the best we can expect. Another conjunction that is worthy of note is the Sun and Mercury in Libra. Since Libra is the sign that embodies diplomacy, this might further cement or produce a peaceful outcome. The overarching theme though, points to a long-term resolution that is hard-won but effective. Responsibility is the one attribute that surfaces and hopefully cooler heads will prevail as we attempt this turn towards sanity.
ARIES (March 21- April 19)
Tread carefully with your significant partner this week as you may not see eye to eye on a few points. This influence has the potential to be a passionate outpouring so be mindful of the fallout. A solid conversation based in honesty and responsibility may be the best way to diffuse the dialog.
TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)
New initiatives are high on your list. Where those manifest may appear in your daily routine where you may be pivoting towards more meaningful habits. A childlike creative streak may allow you to step into that role with great enthusiasm. As long as you are responsible you should be able to see the long-term results beginning to appear.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Despite an overwhelming buoyancy evident in your creativity and mood, you may find that others do not share your enthusiasm. Business connections may prove to be an area where you come face to face with this influence. If you feel you have excess ebullience an excellent outlet would be your home and family.
CANCER (June 22-July 22)
Even though you are known for your strong maternal presence you may be more involved in family and home-centered topics than you imagined. Unexpected shifts at work may pose a challenge but can be mitigated by a diplomatic approach that puts you in a position of power and authority. Passion may lie at the root of this influence.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
You may be consumed by an interest in financial matters this week. While your desire to invest may be quite compelling you may also spend some time researching and exploring options that are available to you. Discoveries that you make may sway your opinions in an unexpected direction. Outside advice may be useful.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
Mars and Venus are paired up in Virgo and this may find you more passionate than usual. How you channel that energy may be the key to what you are able to manifest under this influence. Conversations may swirl around financial matters and how to be distinctly creative in that regard. Research is valuable.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Jupiter lingers in Libra for a few more days and you may be feeling the thrill of conversation and connection with others. With the Sun and Mercury together in Libra as well you may be in the spotlight so watch what you say and how you say it, especially to a significant partner.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov 21)
Soon, you may feel the thrust of Jupiter as it prepares to enter your sign for the next year. With that in mind you may be making long-term plans with collaborators on an expansive project. New beginnings carry a certain thrill to them so choose your path carefully to maximize the impact.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Your primary motivator this week may be career-focused. You may be eager to sign contracts, gather new clients, and close deals during this period. Tread carefully if working on collaborative projects, though, as conversations may become overly expansive and plans can become aggressively inflated. Discretion may be the key word, so act cautiously.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Education, travel all play significant roles in your week ahead. At the same time your career connections may be part of your dialog as you turn towards reinventing yourself. You may be standing on the cusp of making a major direction change so pause and plan accordingly and not with haste. Look to the family for a surprise.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Train your focus on large organizations that may be involved with education and travel. You could be considering making plans that involve both aspects and your decision may be significant in that regard. Writing and research are emphasized and could reveal something quite unusual and extraordinary. Great potential for adventure awaits.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
You might be involved with your partner this week on a career-based project. How you manage to balance those two areas of your life may involve a discussion surrounding unusual finances and resources. Responsibility is the underlying key to success particularly with regard to work. Expect to find reward for diligence at work.
